About

Paul
Who am I?

All my life I have had a passion for animals, animal conservation and animal protection.

However, dogs have always been my first love. I have owned numerous dogs during my life, I have done voluntary work with Police Dogs, fostered ‘problem’ dogs for numerous charities and have helped hundreds of people ‘connect’ with their dog.

Understanding why dogs do what they do is my greatest passion and even after 30 plus years I still meet dogs that I learn from.

There is nothing quite like the moment when I reconnect an owner with a dog who they love but thought was ‘too much’ for them and see them build a future together.

My Principles

Rehab don’t rehome

I do not believe that any dog, regardless of age or breed, cannot be rehabilitated with the right help and knowledge.

Training

I do not believe in training out the character from a dog. Dogs with little idiosyncrasies are so much fun! However, basic good behaviour training helps your dog to be happy and content.

‘People Power’

Dogs are very sensitive to their owners and giving owners the knowledge and helping them understand their dog is key to being a confident owner/pack leader.

Basic Principle

“You’ll never get the dog you want, you’ll always get the dog you need” Cesar Millan.

When you truly understand your dog and realise how your emotions and actions affect him/her you will have a relationship that can never be broken.

Meelo
Jade, Sutton

Meelo was suffering from separation anxiety and didn't like being left home alone. After just an hour with Paul, I was armed with some basic techniques to teach Meelo that it is OK to be alone and that separation is a good thing!

Meelo is improving everyday and getting more and more confident on his own all thanks to the help Paul gave me. I couldn't be more grateful for Paul's help and would highly recommend his services to any puppy or dog owners looking for some help and guidance with their beloved furry friends!

Juno
Chris, Surrey

Juno hadn't realised that she had grown from a small puppy to a large German Shepherd and was enthusiastically jumping up to greet everybody and sending them flying! Paul came and helped us with this and another couple of issues.

He was fantastic! Calm, incredibly knowledgeable and gave us the advice we needed in a very easy-to-understand fashion. I would heartily recommend him to anyone, whether your dog is young or old, big or small. He'll improve your relationship with your four-legged friend no end.

Rico
Sally, Hampton

Paul has been a big help in the training of Rico and providing very quick and easy solutions in managing some of his behaviours. He is a very dedicated and enthusiastic trainer and I highly recommend his services. Sally, Hampton.

2 days before the first lockdown we had GSD puppies, all but one had their new homes decided.

The difficulty finding the right home in lockdown proved impossible and we ended up with an extra unplanned puppy. 2 male GSD’s from the same litter is a bad decision.

Luckily Paul was recommended to us.

He has helped us to understand them and ourselves and to make the most of our time with our 2 independent but very loving boys.

Without his support I doubt we’d be anywhere but pulling our hair out. He’s been our lifeline.
